What Perimeter’s Been Up to for You

All the way back in 1999, two groups of developers, owners, and commuters joined together to make Perimeter a better place to be. The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) focus on neighborhood improvements like road updates and new development, while the Perimeter Connects transportation management association (TMA) helps commuters get around traffic and to their destinations.

Read on to find out what we’ve done so far, what’s up next, and where you come in.

Getting you here, there, and everywhere in Perimeter

Perimeter Connects worked with local employers to collect the area’s free commuter shuttles (funded privately by employers) into one handy map for your use. On the Perimeter CIDs Instagram, we also share construction news from around the neighborhood–check out the newest sidewalk updates on our feed!

The Perimeter Summit shuttle runs its route from Dunwoody Station.

Since the Xpress bus system announced plans to eliminate routes running to Perimeter, the Perimeter Connects team has been working to help the commuters that rely on them. If you take routes 417 or 428, sign up for our emails to be the first to know about your next transport option!

Perimeter Connects has perks for regular transit riders, bikers, walkers, and teleworkers, too! Get on the Perimeter Connects MyGCO to take advantage of monthly gift card raffles and a Guaranteed Ride Home.

Livening up your work-live-play

If you live or work in the area, you won’t want to miss our District Download webinars: that’s where we get local leaders to share updates on city projects and new development. So far, we’ve looked into the trail plans for Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and Brookhaven. Check them out on our Youtube channel!

We’ve gotten to add a little local flavor in the past couple years: in 2022, we worked with local artist Daas to install the Flora Chroma mural on the Dunwoody MARTA station. In 2024, we ran a scavenger hunt (Perimeter Pursuit) to get locals like you walking around the neighborhood, for some local prizes like a free stay in Crowne Plaza Ravinia!

Looking for a little more fun? Every 2 weeks, we share the Stay the 5-to-9: a roundup of free or low-cost events happening in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and Brookhaven. You’ll need to join our email list to get all the deets!

Perimeter Connects is also bringing eBiketober and Transit Month this fall to shake up your commute. In September and October, the team will be out and about in Perimeter, sharing e-bikes for test rides and MARTA passes for new transit-tryers. Get on the Perimeter Connects MyGCO network before then so you can log rides later for prizes! (While you’re waiting, check out other prizes from MyGCO.)

You’ll be the first to know about construction, travel tips, and the new businesses filling up the area. This’ll also get you on our Stay the 5-to-9 list, so you’ll never be stuck at home on a weeknight (or weekend.) If you’ve got questions, come say hey at info@perimeterconnects.com! We’re standing by to help you out.
